The honest take on the MacBook Air M2 that most reviewers gloss over: the base 8 GB / 256 GB model is a compromised purchase. The M2 chip is extraordinary — silent, fast, cool-running, 15-hour battery — but 8 GB unified memory gets genuinely tight running Xcode with a simulator, and 256 GB fills up faster than expected. The 16 GB / 512 GB config (around ₹1.3L) is the version to buy without reservation. The base model is excellent for web, scripting, and notes — less so for iOS dev or heavier Java work.
