Overview
The ROG Zephyrus G14 is overkill for most students — and that's important context upfront. But for ML research, game development, 3D rendering, or competitive gaming as part of an engineering program, this is the machine that handles all of it without compromise. The Ryzen 9 7940HS is a genuine workstation chip. The OLED display at 165Hz is the best panel on any laptop at this weight. At 1.72 kg with Thunderbolt 4, it travels well.

If the budget extends here and the workload demands it, there's nothing better at this weight.
